TED'S CELEBRATES THEIR 2ND ANNIVERSARY WITH AN OKTOBERFEST BLOCK PARTY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13!

CHARLESTON, SC, October 01, 2007 – ed’s Butcherblock, at 334 East Bay Street, will celebrate two wonderful years as Charleston’s only downtown neighborhood butcher shop and gourmet market with their own twist on a Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, October 13. In celebration of Ted’s featured country for October, GERMANY, Ted’s will host the 2nd Anniversary Oktoberfest Block Party, a full day of German-themed food, wine and beer tastings. This special event runs from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The 2nd Anniversary Oktoberfest Block Party will feature festive live music, German sausage grilling and smoking demonstrations on the Big Green Egg, German beers on tap, wine tastings, and gourmet giveaways from Ted’s. In addition, owner Ted Dombrowski and his staff will be roasting a whole pig, stuffed with German sausages, potatoes and sauerkraut, which they will serve to party goers with their own mug of German beer. Cost is $10 per person for tastings of the roast pig and a mug of beer, and a $1 donation for the wine tastings. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank.
