Shropshire Dip

A delicious spread for crostini and crackers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon, chopped
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz Shropshire cheese
  • 1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

Prehead oven to 350 degrees F

In a large skillet, fry chopped bacon until almost crisp. Stir in garlic.

Remove skillet from heat and drain excess fat.

In a medium bowl, mix bacon with cream cheese and Shropshire.

Transfer the mixture to a casserole disk. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with crackers or crostini toasts.
