Classic Pairings For Your Perfect Cuts
It took some time, but with careful research, lots of taste tests and several trial runs, we’ve sourced a curated selection of classic artisan sauces that we’re proud to represent on our shelves as recommended pairings for our cut-to-order steaks, chops and seafood.
These sauces are perfect for times when you want an easy but flavorful dinner made simply with quality ingredients. Here’s the rundown:
Favuzzi Pestos
Favuzzi specializes in classic handmade sauces, oils and various other Italian products. We were looking for the perfect pesto for customers to use when they don’t have the time to make their own, and we found two varieties from this family business that checked all the boxes: simple, quality ingredients, superb taste and functional packaging. Keep a jar of these pestos in your cabinet or fridge to have on hand for use with chicken, fish and seafood, on pasta, or to stir into basic sauces to elevate your dishes.

Favuzzi Mushroom Truffle Puree
This hearty mushroom purée contains black truffle and porcini pieces that melt in your mouth. It has a delicate truffle flavor that is balanced perfectly with hints of garlic and black olive. Turn it into a sauce for one of the Rio Bertolini’s pastas or raviolis in our case, use it as a steak or burger topping, or serve on crostini as an hors d’oeuvres. $12
Argentinian Chimichurri Sauce
Chimichurri is a classic condiment from South America that is simply made with lemon, olive oil, parsley and a hint of spice. It’s traditionally served with grilled meats and seafood, and that’s our favorite way to use it. You can also blend it with butter to make a an excellent compound butter, mix with mayonnaise for a unique aioli, or mix with plain Greek yogurt to make a quick Tzatziki. $11
Rhonda’s Romesco
A staple of Northern Spain for centuries, Romesco is a versatile condiment that complements a variety of cuisines. We love it on scallops, white fish, pork, chicken and vegetables. You can also use a dollop of Rhonda’s Romesco to spice up your charcuterie boards or spread onto a sandwich or burger. $12
