We’re 20 Years Old This October!!

How is it possible that our little neighborhood butcher shop has been going strong for two decades, in the same place where we started back in 2005? Two decades ago, Ted was looking for a way to bring higher quality butcher products to Charleston, and he stumbled upon the space and the opportunity here on East Bay Street.

There have been many, many ups and downs since those first months. Suffice it to say, we are very proud to have survived two decades in business, and we are so, so thankful for our loyal customers and our friends in the Charleston food and beverage community for helping us reach this milestone.

Anniversary Burger Collaborations

To mark the occasion, we’ve partnered with a few of our favorite Charleston chefs - some long-time favorites, and some newer stars - for a month of Anniversary Burger Collaborations on Saturdays throughout October. AND, all burgers served in October will be extra-special, because we’ll be making them with delicious Wagyu Beef from Black Hawk Farms.

Here’s the line-up:

Saturday 10/4 - Brook Warden, Pink Cactus

Saturday 10/11 - Mark Bolchoz, Cane Pazzo

Saturday 10/18 - Shuai Wang, Jackrabbit Philly & King BBQ

Saturday 10/25* - Daniel Heinze, Vern’s

The Featured Burgers, along with Backyard Burgers (with classic topping options), will be available starting at 11:00. The cost is $16, including a choice of side. A limited number of burgers will be prepared each week.

*Saturday 10/25: Anniversary Celebration

“Back in the day,” we hosted big anniversary block parties, complete with live music and giveaways. That’s not as easy to pull off in 2025, but we’ve still got some special things planed for the final Saturday on October. Join us for Wagyu Burgers, of course, but also for live music, giveaways and other surprises! Join us from 11 am until 3 pm on October 25th at Ted’s Butcherblock!
